Great Animes that you should give a watch this summer season of 2020 [Airing Right Now]

1. No Guns Life Season 02

No Guns Life Season 02 Worth A Watch

Bet you didn't expect that, didn't you? Rarely is it that Madhouse studios even considers making a season 2 of something, so when they do it is going to get people thinking. 

Why it was off of peoples watch radars? I don't know, I guess a lot of people weren't talking about it and the community seemed to be hush-hush about No Guns Life despite [a very impressive and tantalizing trailer].

Should you give this great anime a watch this summer season of 2020? Definitely! 

What is No Guns Life season 2 all about? Basically continuation of [season 1 No Guns Life] but this time we get a peek into the confusing backstories of Juzo Inui, Mary Steinburg and Tetsuro. Set in the far future where metal meets biotech with a cyberpunkish feel you are thrown into a world where these automaton-like biomachinations roam the streets amongst people doing everyday normal tasks. The character designs of the whole weapon-head-beings thing reminds me a lot of [chainsaw man] which you should also go check out.

2. Deca Dence

Deca Dence by... I kid you not it is made by a studio called studio Nut and dare I say it was nuts!

If you loved Studio Triggers Kill La Kill and Darling In The Franxx then you’ll most likely love Deca Dence as most of its animation style, music and character designs are inspired from them. I kid you not it is made by a studio called studio Nut and dare I say it was nuts!

Why it was off of peoples watch radars? There wasn’t much hype behind it in the Anime community as there wasn’t much conversations around it apart from hardcore fans knowing of its existence, heck I even just heard of it sometime ago as I was looking for some underrated Animes to watch.

Should you give this great anime a watch this summer season of 2020? You really should. The animation and story as so reminiscent of studio Triggers older works. 

What is Deca Dence about? That is what’s so amazing about it, you get so much from the first episode but just enough to leave you curious to want to find out what is really going on. The whole show is shrouded in mystery so I wouldn’t want to spoil it for you but to simply summarize what it is about is about a tanker girl called Natsume who dreams of becoming a Gear warrior in a post apocalyptical mobile city fortress called Deca Dence. All is good and well when she gets into contact with Kaburagi from the Company to possibly help further this goal. Thing is… Nartsume is recorded as been dead in the company database. So what exactly is going on? You’d have to watch it to find out why this is so and what happened to humanity and the strange lifeforms called Gadolls.

The Steam punk style plus sci-fy/action really does wonders for this Anime show. Every episode just keeps giving and keeps you curious and always returning to find out just what is happening.

3. Uzaki Chan Wants To Hang Out

Heard of it from the controversy but stayed to get comfy (and have a laugh). The only reason I love this anime is that she [Uzaki Chan] is annoying and not the type that irritates to hate her but the one that makes you feel lonely if she were ever to leave you or stop interacting with you (as most Japanese fans and International fans put it).

Why it was off of peoples watch radars? The whole controversy around it and all (alibeit an isolated case or controversy) might put some people off. Strangely enough once you get to sit down and watch it, you would find it different and entertaining in strange ways, sure there are raunchy scenes and all (well quite tame if you asked me when compared to other ecchi shows). But if this rings with you well then yes give it a go.

What is Uzaki Chan Wants To Hang Out about? Well the title says it all: Uzaki Chan, the MC's extroverted kohai just wants to hang out with him for some reason (which I wouldn't want to spoil here so go watch it on your own).

A comedy, a slcie of life, in a university setting and not only a [senpai that not only notices you] but is akin to Skilled Teaser Tagaki with Aqua's brain (from Konosuba), Darknesses body (also from Konosuba) and Megumins height (... Konosuba). What is there not to like about this anime? Heard of it from the controversy but stayed to get comfy (and have a good laugh).

4. Fire Force Season 2

More powerful villains, a darker plot and a larger cast. This show is a must watch for Soul Eater fans with a taste for BRICC anime characters and waifus. This is one of the most underrated Shounen shows this season so give it a watch.

Why it was off of peoples watch radars? Since the rescheduling and the delays brought upon by the pandemic some seasons for certain Animes have been delayed. With the delays comes forgetfulness so Fire Force Season 2 just went under the radar for a lot of fans that waited on it to air last season. The other reason been it is simply underrated.

Should you give this great anime a watch this summer season of 2020? Yes. If you are into Soul Eater with upgraded animations then this is for you.

What is Fire Force Season 2 about? What is Fire Force about? Fighting fire with fire with a team of sizzling hot fire fighters (there is also the yearly calendar thing fire fighters must partake in). How would they go about fighting fire with fire you ask? You’ll never know unless you watch it. What does Fire Force season 2 offer? Phenomenal animation… well phenomenal animation aside, we get slightly an uptake in violence and the story gets darker as we continue from where season 1 left us. Tamaki also gets some spotlight and we get more of her story as we also see action from her.

5. The Misfit of Demon King Academy

Anos Coming Out Of The Parents And Immediately Speaking Upon Birth Had Me Laughing So Hard I Didn't Know I Watched All Of The Misfit of Demon King Academy In One Sitting

Your wife gives birth to a baby that can speak, what do you do? Roll with it? Your classmate who was a baby barely a sometime ago is now a fully grown man and just yeeted a whole castle full of "contestants" into the horizon, how do you react? Just roll with it? And that folks was just what I did with The Misfit of Demon King Academy, I rolled with it! I rode the tide (like all the characters in the anime that just seem to roll with the tide). 

So how did it turn out for me? It was an interesting watch with out of place characters and situations that fit well into the comedic aspect and the world building surrounding the story/premise. Thing is... they did all that in 2 episodes. Think about what awaits you if finish it up?

Why it was off of peoples watch radars? The name and the style was something people were already used to. Some people gave it a glance and didn't think to fully watch it. Though if they did, they were in for a surprise.

Should you give this great anime a watch this summer season of 2020? Yes, if you are into surprises and having people turn the Isekai genre on its head then yes give this a watch.

What is The Misfit of Demon King Academy about? Basically the Isekai MC – Anos - was reincarnated after a 1000 years from a previous death. He was a very powerful demonlord thought to have defeated anything and everything (even gods of his world). Though thought to be long dead 1000 years having passed with peace now reigning, the story of the demonlord morphed into something else. Though Anos has been displeased with this, strangely enough, it seems like he neither wants to neither rule nor bow is head down to the powers that be.
