The Relationship Between a Senpai, Kohai and Senei

A Senpai (Older or A Higher Ranking Person) Kohai (Younger or A Lower Ranking Person) relationship is a sacred hierarchical Pyramid where the Senpai acts either as a buffer between the Kohai and the Sensei (Teacher or Higher up) or a Training partner/Sub-teacher to facilitate a Kohai's integration into any given Society. Due to this simple system things like bullying and social strife based on age rarely occurs.

This is a fairly poorly misunderstood relationship as people think of it as an absolute platonic "bow to me relationship" where the Kohai is bullied into doing what ever the Senpai wants. The truth is that there is an unspoken rule that the Senpai should never bully the Kohai. That is because the said Senpai is actually supposed to guide and teach the Kohai the ways of the School, Workplace or Institution in an orderly and fashionable manner as any teacher would. The Senpai's job is in fact not to bully the Kohai but to protect and perfect them whilst the Kohai's job or role is to respectably follow what the Senpai has to teach or show. Okay to get things straight, it is in fact a Senpai that should treat his or her Kohai's to treats. Simply been under Senpai's wing will make him/her indirectly notice you once you start getting him to house you once in a while. These are the only informal moments where the Senpai-Kohai relationships and hierarchies are broken down, from there on out you can get to know Senpai better and get to appreciate him/her for who they really are.
